LATEST-12 YEARS(PUSHKARAM) UPDATES-SWADHYAYAFOUNDATION
పుష్కరం _ Pushkaram - a Very important event in any person's life. The same holds good for the Swadhyayafoundation too.
Today(20th July 2019), 12 years back this foundation was unofficially launched to perform charity activities...main focus
being Education... In 2012, it was officially launched to perform all activities under the Swadhyayafoundation umbrella.
Since then, education, career counseling, sponsoring identified children in fully backward areas( again, most of the schools
and children were in and around Nizamabad.). I am sure best wishes from all my friends and well-wishers and Grace of God
helped us to reach this milestone. This milestone now makes us even more responsible and responsive to support the needy
in a small way...Thank God... www.swadhyayafoundation.com is fully run by our savings/ earnings and we never asked for
any donations.Thanks all friends and Thank God for the opportunity and making me focused when required..

NEW YEAR 2019 UPDATES-SWADHYAYAFOUNDATION
It’s been a while since I posted any updates on the activities of SWADHYAYA FOUNDATION.
There have been continuous activities for most of the Tuesdays and Thursdays …1. Collection and Distribution of Household items, clothes, children toys, bags etc….
at various slum and construction areas
2. Hunt the winter- Distributed Blankets and Rugs to People sleeping on streets
3. Distribution of School supplies , Bags, School books, notebooks to various students
4. Paying fees and touch points for adopted/sponsored children as needed
5. Attending school functions , Principals, Teachers on regular progress of Sponsored kids
6. Sessions on career growth , Future planning for selected StudentsA few of the photos have been attached here , that include all the above activities took place for past 5-6 months.

School Drive Summer -2017
As part of the divine work by Swadhyaya Foundation , a summer drive was kicked-off yesterday.
We paid fees, bought school dresses, talked to the Principals , provided notebooks , pens
and other stationery items , to Tejaswini (a student adopted 3 years ago)among others. Then ,
visits were made to the Courtesy Foundation and the Gracious Paradise Foundation and clothing ,
school supplies , toffees , blankets were donated along with a cash donation for meeting ad-hoc
expenses. For 10 years since unofficial and 5 years since official launch, we have adopted
7 students fully , supported 11 schools and colleges and provided ad-hoc support to
4 local foundations.
Disclaimer:
Swadhyaya Foundation has neither received nor accepted any money , nor has it kept any
collection box , nor has it requested / approached people /the Government for anything related
to our foundation. It is fully sponsored and run by our family including time , money , counseling
and love to the children ( students)..... However, we have 20 volunteers offering us non monetary
assistance in our endeavor.I pray God to provide me the energy to proceed further with the divine
efforts and request you all to provide assistance as needed and bless the children of lesser God.

New Year Updates and New programs -2017
Hunt the winter – Distributed Blankets to the people who sleep on foot paths/streets. This is an annual event during November/December
Support to Local Foundations: Supported with Office/school supplies and rice bags to Mother India, Courtesy and Gracious paradise foundations
Counselling/Training sessions: To the Nizamabad and Ditchpally schools and colleges on Analytical skills and Career counselling
New initiatives: Created a new program called ‘Success through Awareness’ to help final year students (of Engineering/MBA/MCA and Degree colleges)on the below(this is not a personality development program)...
A free 1.5 hour session to take students through:
- Corporate Sector - Overview and appropriate traits
- Digital world - including computer basics, advanced overview (evolution of computers)
- Current IT trends -Cloud, Big Data, IoT, Digital Marketing, Automation
- Corporate trends - Start-ups, Idea Development, Financing
- Government policies - Future
- Opportunities in Job markets
- Career Suitability

The Divine Journey Continued-20th July 2016
Four years back, Today(20th July 2012), officially launched Swadhyayafoundation (No donations from
Anybody), the sole purpose of this foundation is to promote education the ’ panacea’ in and around
Nizamabad. Journey started with Identifying schools, colleges that need thorough preparation for future.
A long term approach for Classes 8th-10th, Intermediate, Degree (three separate) streams identified to
support the education, career counselling. This included class room sessions on 1st/3rd/4th/5th
Saturdays of all months that focused on Maths, Arithmetic, Computer Education, English Grammar and
Communication, General Science, Rural Education and Opportunities, Computer building activities .
Slowly the foundation worked towards the needs of a few local foundations by donating school books,
notebooks, stationary and other counselling efforts.
As recommended by a few close friends , ‘Used items drive’,’ Hunt the winter’ , Notebook drive’ ‘Monthly
Rice donation Drive’ came under the gambit of services offered by Swadhyaafoundation to support local
foundations- Mother India , Gracious Paradise, Courtesy.
Career counselling (over phone) provided to 1000’s of students about career/future planning. A few
identified students were sponsored with school fees too.
A few of the services, such as Hunt the winter and Chennai Relief operations done in collaboration with
‘INTIME’ foundation(Time Inc India , volunteers).
I am deeply indebted to all the volunteers and a special mention to Chandu, Sandeep(NZB), Modali
Srinivas, Harish Seelam ,Srilatha Darbha , DSN Murthy, Venu Gopal , Madhav(NZB) ,Deepu(NZB), and
others who provided support with the counselling and curriculum.

Back to School May-June 2016
Dear All,
As we approach the 4th Official (9th Un official) formation day of Swadhyaya foundation(20th July), various activities have been done to support the Students/Children of Hyderabad
and Nizamabad. Since the time is right for the school supplies and other supporting activities
in the past two months.

SWADHYAYAFOUNDATION-2nd Anniversary(20-Jul-2014) Updates
First of all ,apologies for the delayed updates. We are back with (late but) latest updates. Were busy ,as schools and colleges opened in Nizamabad and Hyderabad and were busy in responding to Students’ queries and providing them the right direction based on their skill and passion. The focus during the past few months has been in multiple areas as below.
The Summary :
- Second Official (and 7th Un-official) Anniversary of Swadhyaya Foundation was observed on 20th July 2014.
- Support for Local foundations- Collection and Distribution of Rice, Used articles etc… to ‘Mother India’, ‘Courtesy’ and ‘Gracious Paradise’ Foundations. These foundations are mainly orphanages located at Malkajgiri and Vanstalipuram and Hayat Nagar respectively ,work towards the education, shelter of Kids below 15 years.
- Counseling of students over phone and visit tem as required- On queries related to education and drove career counseling sessions.
- Collection of Intermediate ‘Maths/Physics/Chemistry’ books and the material for ‘Engineering Entrance’ from various sources.
- Distribution of the Intermediate Education Material to Various schools and Colleges.
- Supporting the Engineering Counseling for students.
- Part of Notebook Drives(School Supplies) and Donated to multiple schools and colleges in and around Nizamabad and Hyderabad.

- This program was started last year as part of Abhaya Foundation's initiative.
- Supplied the winter clothing and Blankets to all the people who sleep on the streets without proper winter wear/blankets. This happened in 4 phases to cover Nallakunta/Vidya Nagar/Koti/Abids/Ramanthapur/Amberpet/Shivam Road/Chaderghat/Malakpet/ECIL X Road/AS RAO Nagar/Nagaram/Moula ali/Taranaka.
- Monthly rice contribution collected and donated to Courtesy Foundation/Gracious Paradise.
- Used items(Clothing collected) donated to Mother India Foundation.
- Monthly Cash Donation to Gracious Foundation By DS Murthy.
- Request for General Donations:

We are back with another round of Updates.- In addition to the nine schools/colleges in and around Nizamabad, we have included Jr.College at Toopran starting this month.
- Spoke to all the principals and Planned for post-holiday(Dussera) sessions.
- Content Development is almost complete.
- Srilatha Darbha has taken up honorary position in a school at Ramanthapur,to spread good practices to our foundation.
- Supported Mother India Foundation (Orphanage at Malkajgiri area)with monthly Rice bag
- Supported Gracious Paradise(Orphanage at Vanastalipuram) with Clothing , School Supplies and Rice Bag.
- Supported Courtesy foundation (Orphanage at Hayat Nagar) with School Supplies ad sponsered their Breakfast for one day(Cash donation ).
- Promised one session per week at Courtesy and Gracious paradise on English/Maths/Computer Skills.
- Planning for AP DARSHAN/ INDIA DARSHAN for 'Education awareness yatra' as suggested by my close friends(yet to work a lot on logistics).Any suggestions/support greatly appreciated.

SWADHYAYA FOUNDATION-FIRST ANNIVERSARY-20 JUL'13
By god's grace , we have successfully completed one year (officially)-(6 Years informally) working on foundation with all your support.
During these years
• Conducted continuous sessions lot of students’ schools/colleges in Nizamabad-Main Focus
• Adopted three Kids (for education sponsorship).
• Assisted local schools/orphanages in tips on Maths/Computer hardware/Spoken English
• Not accepted Monetary Donations from anybody.
• Did Hunt the winter initiative on behalf of Abhaya(My Parent Foundation)
• Performed Notebook Drive
• Performed Donation/Collection of Old articles.
•
Successfully lent hands to other foundations, as and when needed (Abhaya, Courtesy, Ashraya, Mother India).As it was raining heavily in and around Nizamabad, we could not visit NZB this week. However, will plan addnl sessions next week to make up for the lost sessions.
This week, visited Mother India, Ashraya foundations and Donated Rice Bags and School Supplies and Clothing. Thanks to all the Donors (Popuri Anand Sekhar and Suresh Boyapati for generous support).
We will keep you posted the schedule for the next one year very soon. Planning to cover 2 more colleges in addition to nine schools and Colleges that we already support.

SUMMER SPECIAL COLLECTION DRIVES -MAR/APR'13
Dear Friends,
It is already very hot outside,but fortunate for the students to concentrate and review the material provided by us.Now all the schools and colleges have summer break and fortunately the principals and our key contacts have time for brainstorm on the quick and long term needs of students. Have been busy with identification of special needs of Students/Orphans locally. Discussed at length with few Foundations in and around Hyderabad. Typically, most of the foundations/orphanages need our daily items such as Rice bags, Clothing(good condition),Notebooks, Pens/Pencils/School Bags and other stationary items, study tables and most importantly the tuition of special subjects(Maths, English, Computer and Science).We are trying to arrange special drives to collect the items during this time
We have also prepared the content for Students for a fast track growth on Maths / Computers and English. We are in continuous contact with all the principals. We are also planning for sessions in and around Hyderabad during may/June as suggested by some of the volunteers and request all of you to suggest some schools/colleges for our sessions. We will be back within a fortnight’s time with a consolidated schedule and plan for next year

SPECIAL DRIVE-MATHS AND COMPUTER H/W SKILLS-JAN/FEB'13
Dear Friends,
After a holiday period of 3 weeks (Pongal Holidays and Milad-un-nabi and republic day),we are back with a special drive to make up for lost sessions. We stayed at Nizamabad for 3 days/2 nights to cover all institutions.
Highlights:
· This week six sessions were conducted,
o On 31st Jan-at Jr College Khilla and /at Girraj Govt College,
o On 1st Feb -at Dharmaram/at Dichpally ,
o On 2nd Feb -at SS nagar/at Bikhnoor .
· On 31st January-Nagaiah garu, Principal of Govt.Jr. College, retired from services.We bid farewell to him and we wish him the very best.
F/up sessions on quantitative aptitude and hardware skills continued this week too. We had our students assemble/disassemble the Desktops. All the students identified the parts of the computer. Identified the common problems. Also learnt how Internet works and the advantages of the same. Some of the students had even planned career in hardware sector.
We really appreciate Jithendra garu of Govt Girraj College for consolidating the emotional (written) feedback from all the Students of Girraj College. I was touched by their faith in our focused work. I will also scan them and upload it to our website soon.
We thank all the principals/in-charge persosons(Jithendra garu, Nagaiah garu Narsimlu garu, Vishnu vardhan garu,Jeevan Rao Garu and Sindhu Madam) for their timely support to make the special drive a success.
On a side note, I got an opportunity to visit excellent temples in and around Nizamabad which have historical and personal significance too. I also thank my brother Murty for his 3 day support. I also thank GopalKrishna Vaidya and Sandeep -Local volunteers for their unending support.

SESSION ON COMPUTER HARDWARE-5-JAN-2013
Dear Friends,
A very happy New Year 2013 to all of you.
We started this New Year with a bang. We had our students assemble/disassemble the Desktop. All the students identified the parts of the computer. Identified the common problems. Also learnt how Internet works and the advantages of the same.
Felt very happy to see their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn hardware. On the same day a media person from ‘Media vision’ channel(Nizamabad Local channel) was there at Dichpally and he shot the session and had interviewed us for some time. It will be telecast this week(probably on 10th Jan). I will send an SMS to all the Nizamabad folks on that day with time/date details.
Mr. Jeevan Rao garu (Principal)of Dichpally was presenting a session on Career goals and planning by Yandamuri Veerendranath on the same day.
Mr. Vishnuvardhan garu of SS Nagar(Principal) made quick arrangements(in spite of last minute schedule fix) for us. Thanks for the refreshments.
Thanks for both the dynamic principals for making the schedule changes for us . There were some minor program changes this week due to busy schedule of Nagaiah garu(of Khilla Jr College) and Jithender garu(of Girraj Degree college). We made plans for additional session during this month.

HUNT THE WINTER -29 DEC 2012
HUNT THE WINTER:
THIS IS PART OF THE ABHAYA FOUNDATION'S INITIATIVE. Thanks to the Abhaya foundation team for allowing us to distribute some blankets on their behalf.
At night, we had distributed the blankets to the homeless .We started at home at 11:00PM and covered three areas(Shivam Road, Vidya NAgar and Nallakunta). We were sad to see so many people without proper winter clothing and felt , we could have done more.
At one location a kid was sleeping beside has mother and shivering in sleep. Frankly we(my family) were wearing warm clothes and moved by the incident though.
At some locations, people woke up ,while we were covering them with the warm(new) blankets.They were grateful and blessed us.
My daughter immediately stated "helping the poor is serving the LORD".
Dear Friends,
We are back with 4th week's (of December)update.
On 22nd Dec 2012, we reached SS Nagar college’ at 11 AM, to conduct two sessions. One session for the students on basic computer skills by providing lot of analogies and another session For English grammar. Afternoon , we went to Biknoor and conducted two sessions for the students. This was also a first follow up session on Maths and English skills.
Students were very happy and had shown lot of interest in English and asked multiple questions to Srilatha and the session extended at both the locations by 1 hour. She patiently responded to their queries and provided a detailed step by step approach to learning English and remembering for rest of the life.
After the session too , as always, all the students surrounded us for additional sessions in following months. We could not assure them ,considering our current commitments. However, considering the exams schedule and holiday schedule starting Feb/Mar 2013, we are considering working for additional Saturdays and Sundays to adjust for the additional sessions for students of Intermediate and Degree final years. We are in touch with all the principals and will finalize the schedule soon.
This week , we are fortunate to have Mr.Narsimlu ,Principal, Biknoor Jr College, during our way back to Hyderabad, who offered a detailed orientation on opportunities provided in colleges by Government ,scholarship of Rs 1000/per month for all the needy students and a private organization provides Books at free of cost. Mr.Narsimlu also had explained the poor quality of (IQ levels of) the Students and attributed it to the culture around the villages. We also tried to understand the pain points of all the Lecturers.
Mr.Narsimlu suggested that ,we can definitely bring about a change , and assured us that he will assist us in identifying the right candidates for the same.
We thank Principal/In-charge of these 2 locations- Mr. Vishnu ,Principal, SS Nagar Jr. College(3rd Session at their place) and Mr. Narsimlu ,Principal ,Biknoor Jr. college(Second session here). We also promised them to share the curriculum for the next 12 months along with the schedule to principals for better planning. All the future sessions also will start on dot and the focus continued to be on ‘Observation of Numbers’(quantitative aptitude) and exercises for brain, English and Computer skills.

We are back with 3rd week's update.
On 15th Dec 2012, we reached Dharmaram ‘Social Welfare residential school and college’ at 10:30 AM, to conduct two sessions. One session for the students of high school (8th class to 10th class) and another session for intermediate girls. Afternoon , we went to Dichpally and conducted two parallel sessions for intermediate students. This was also a follow up session on Maths and English skills. For the first time, we also introduced basic computer skills. After the session too all the students surrounded us for additional sessions in following months. We could not assure them ,considering our current commitments. However, considering the exams schedule and holiday schedule starting Feb/Mar 2013, we are considering working for additional Saturdays and Sundays to adjust for the additional sessions for students of Intermediate and Degree final years. This week , we are fortunate to have Mr.Venugopal ,Project Manager Finance –DRDA(District Rural Development Agency),who offered a detailed orientation on opportunities in ‘Skills Enhancement ‘ programs offered by Government ,for all the needy students at free of cost and during their slack time. Students were very happy and had shown lot of interest and with the above and raised lot of questions to Mr.Venu. He patiently responded to their queries and provided a detailed step by step procedure to enroll to such programs.

On 15th September,two new sessions were scheduled , Sadasiv Nagar and Dichpally. Main motivating factor for these sessions was ' the willingness and dedication' of both the principals of of these colleges.
Mr. Vishnuvardhan, principal SS nagar , made sure that 175 students join 'Junior inter' by persistent visits to the villages and educating the parents and encouraging the students. Currently the college has just 4 big rooms for students and no power supply. However, the Students are really enthusiastic and really talented.
Mr.Jeevan Rao, Principal Dichpally, recipient of the Best Teacher Award (felicitated by AP Govt.), has completed his masters in Arts, Science, commerce, education and M.Phil. He also made sure that there is a overall growth of students by ensuring proper arrangements for sports and physical education too. He is also darling of the students and all the students exuded power and energy during the session.
We, thank both of them and promise that we will continue to support them for next few years too to make sure that there is a real difference. We all work together to bring in the best results.
We had the morning session at SS Nagar and afternoon at Dichpally. Provided overview on the opportunities, the positive outlook, techniques for memory and quantitative aptitude.
To our utter astonishment, one student from SS Nagar had shown extremely high level of IQ and Memory by remembering 15 ITEMS/articles and repeating the same to all of us in seconds. It was a great feeling.

Please find below the updates for 1st Saturday of October(6th October 2012).
We Could not extend our session of 5th Saturday of September owing to Ganesh Nimajjan at various locations.
We had an overview session at Bikhnoor Junior College students on 6th October. This village/Mandal is a very small and at a remote location and there is a very nice/old/famous temple of Lord Siva.All the students are from surrounding villages who work in the fields(farming/cattle rearing).Normally no foundation goes there(Children of lesser God).Children do not even know/understand why they(we) are coming to college and why they are studying.But, what a surprise, there are quiet a few intelligent students.
Anyway , the session was arranged by Principal Mr. Narsimlu and In-charge MR. Balaswamy. They made sure that the session started promptly at 11:15AM and extended their co-operation in arranging the hall/ black board/one water bottle etc..They have also promised us to enroll 30 students from their college for our follow up sessions.
This month probably there will be no other sessions ,as all the colleges and schools have Dussera holidays starting second Saturday till end of the month.
Planned two sessions for 3rd November(1st Saturday of the next month) at Bikhnoor and Ramayampet High schools. We had a detailed discussion with the Head Master of Ramayampet on our plans for next 12-18 months. We have promised computer sessions too for Bikhnoor High School in addition to our normal sessions(Fundamentals of Maths, Science and English).

A special orientation session at Govt Social welfare school and College for girls at Dharmaram was held on Saturday, 4th August 2012. The session was interactive as a lot of students came up with many different questions. We were shocked (pleasantly surprised) to see the enthusiasm that they had towards learning new things and planning their future. It took almost 5 hours for our session and a couple of hours of exclusive/informal sessions after the orientation.
We felt extremely happy to see a Govt school/College being managed with total dedication by a hard-working team 'in government service'. The Principal and Staff of the institution are the unsung heroes of this story. We really felt that our guidance and support would create success stories. We are planning follow up sessions with them starting next month. The girls stay away from their parents (some of them are orphans) and impacted us with their warmth and affection. They repeatedly asked us to visit them again soon.
We shared some important tips in quantitative aptitude and a few memory techniques, apart from answering their queries about a variety of courses and careers. Photos of the session can be accesses by copy pasting the following link in browser -

I really appreciate and welcome all the new volunteers. As indicated in my earlier meeting, we need just 1-2 persons per session only. We would like to have your inputs to benefit our foundation. Good intentions need the strength of great ideas to come to fruition.
Also thanks a ton to all the people who came forward to sponsor our Nizamabad kids. It is kind-hearted people like you who will ultimately share the responsibility and credit for having shared your good fortune for a noble cause. As indicated through my mails, we are currently in the process of identifying the right students and it may take a while before we avail the opportunity given by donors. Currently, we are not accepting any money/donations.
However, please let us know if any of your friends are interested in sparing some time for taking classes/ providing tuition in any of the 8/9/10/intermediate subjects.
